David Guthrie, President
After receiving his degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Dave launched his career at the Perini Corporation, a major national contractor. In 1994, he returned to his hometown of Westford and founded Wescon Inc. Under his leadership, Wescon has become a major area developer known for making effective and creative use of land and building high-quality homes and commercial structures. Dave remains involved in all aspects of his company, from initial site selection and land planning, to the design and overall development of Wescon communities and buildings. He also takes an active role in the civic life of Westford and is pleased to support many local non-profit organizations.

John Garside, Construction Supervisor
Before joining Wescon in 2003, John was employed for 12 years in the public health arena, where he worked closely with local health boards throughout Massachusetts. His skills working with local government are now put to use in the permitting and construction supervision for new projects. John has a Masters of Management Science in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and has also completed graduate work in environmental studies. He is a Registered Construction Supervisor and Sanitarian, as well as a Certified Health Officer, in Massachusetts.

Mark Sleger, Senior Engineer
Mark coordinates permitting and site design, oversees site construction activities, and is responsible for compliance assurance on all projects. Before joining Wescon in 2006, Mark served as Director of Engineering for a local civil engineering firm. He received his B.S. in civil engineering from Northeastern University and his M.S. in civil engineering with a concentration in water resources from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. He has nearly 30 years of experience in civil engineering and holds the following professional designations: Registered Professional Engineer in MA, ME and NH; Licensed Soil Evaluator in MA; Licensed Subsurface Systems Designer in NH, Licensed Title 5 Inspector in MA.
