Wescon Highlights & History

Company president Dave Guthrie founded Wescon in Westford, Massachusetts in 1994. A Westford native, Dave was committed to responsible development and quality construction in his growing home town. He launched the company by building single family homes in Westford, but quickly expanded services to include the construction of luxury custom homes and select, stick built commercial buildings in Westford and surrounding towns including Chelmsford, Townsend, Carlisle, Tyngsboro and Littleton.

In 2001, Wescon joined with Guthall, a partnership between Dave Guthrie and local real estate attorney Howard Hall, to build The Village at Stone Ridge, an age-restricted condominium community on 108 acres in Westford. The success of The Village at Stone Ridge made Wescon a leading builder in Massachusetts.

More recently, Wescon joined again with Howard Hall to develop Summer Village at the Pond, a waterfront community of 276 seasonal cottages and resort amenities in Westford. Summer Village is anticipated to be completed in 2012. Other current projects include Fletcher Farms, a five-home community in Westford that is currently under construction, as well as two planned residential communities and a unique village of condominium cottages that will provide affordable housing in Westford.

While Wescon continues to build custom homes and occasional commercial buildings, the company specializes on the development of communities of anywhere from a few, to a few hundred, homes.
